KNOTTY BEECH REFACED KITCHEN
We just completed this kitchen refacing completely changing a 20 year old golden oak kitchen into an ornate and more functional knotty beech kitchen.
Explore these 3 pages to see how this went from an average kitchen to a practical and beautiful kitchen
THE OLD COOKING AREA
The soffits above the stove were removed and the microwave hood was replaced by a wood hood (with a vent that actually works instead of just blowing air back over your head!)
THE NEW COOKING AREA
THE OLD PANTRY & DESK AREA
The pantry remained but we completely eliminated the desk and replaced the wall cabinets with decorative storage and put in a very useful 30" large 3-drawer cabinet and a space for a (soon-to-come) wine chiller). Crown molding was added to give the cabinets a finished look - so much better than the cheap flat molding the original builder put in.
Note where the refrigerator was (the stainless box on the right of the pantry). Note that the refrigerator was recessed in the closet wall (picture at top of page).
